The purpose of this document is to outline the project steps
we generally take when building new e-commerce
applications. Each
company has a unique set of requirements and goals that
determine the process we follow. We hope this helps as

| 1.) DISCOVERY - DETERMINING
YOUR REQUIREMENTS |
During initial discussions we gather details about your company,
your customers and project goals to determine requirements. We
ask a lot of questions and look over your existing web site. We
ask for your ideas while offering many of our own.
| 2.) FORMALIZING THE PROJECT |
After we determine the initial requirements for the project we
put together a proposal for your review. Upon
approval both you and NDC sign a contract containing details of
the agreement.
| 3.) ACQUIRING NECESSARY
RESOURCES |
Our database driven e-commerce sites require the following accounts.
As part of the project we set these up for you. The account fees
are covered by the client. If you don't have these accounts already,
we can offer advice on selecting appropriate vendors.
- Web Hosting Account — host must meet database,
ssl, and email requirements.
- SSL Certificate — needed
for secure transactions and account pages.
- Merchant Bank Account — needed
for credit card transaction deposits.
- Payment Gateway — gateway needed
for real-time credit card transactions.
NDC will work directly with you or your existing web staff to
design the user interface of the e-commerce application. In some
cases we integrate the new functionality into existing web site
designs and in others we create an entirely new web site. Development
does not begin until the customer is satisfied with the design.
Once you have signed off on a design you are satisfied with, we
begin installing your new database, web site and administrative
tools. We work with you to import your product details into the
new database. We also complete a full testing of the system prior
to training.
NDC will work with your and/or your staff to ensure complete proficiency
in using the administrative tools to process orders, add products
and work with customer accounts. Our tools are very user friendly
and offer incredible flexibility in managing your new e-commerce
web site.
Upon client acceptance, we will launch the web site and
perform final testing to ensure a fully functional application.
We stand behind our work and quickly return phone calls should questions
arise with your new e-commerce web site. We also offer many suggestions
on how to best utilize your new tools in marketing to customers.
